December 2017 photos: Hanging with family in Pittsburgh and old friends in Boston

I spent a lot of time with my family these last four months while looking for a new full-time job. I rounded out the year with them when my sister visited Pittsburgh from Philadelphia. We went to the restaurant Eleven and then saw the one-act play The Humans. The former was good, the latter okay. The company was great.

That picture was taken before I secured a new job in Boston as a writer and marketer. The weekend after moving to Boston and starting the job, I met up with my friend Ariel who lives there.

We went to Pour House to watch the final minutes of the Patriots beating the Steelers before going to a Jewish Soiree at Towne Stove and Spirits with her friend Elexa. I’m not Jewish but it was a fun time. Lots of good people and trendy music and dancing.

After getting to know my new city, job, and workplace friends, I headed home again for Christmas. It was nice getting back to familiar ground after trekking the unfamiliar for the past two weeks in Boston.

I also got to see my sister and her boyfriend Brad which is always nice. They make a great couple and great company. Always positive and fun to be around.

On the Saturday before Christmas, we went to my parent’s country club to meet up with some family friends. I was irritated that they forced you to valet park there. But, other than that, it was a good time. (The CC manager heard me complaining about it. I just want choice! She scowled at me. Merry Christmas!)

And that’s December 2017 in pictures.
